Young Alex certainly has the bright smile and attitude that accompany a young boy, but there's something he's missing. When he was born, one of Alex's arms failed to develop properly, leaving him partially handicapped. There are prosthetics available - replacement arms that would offer Alex an easier life. The problem with these prosthetics is cost - some can cost upwards of $30,000.

For most families, cost has prohibited their children from receiving proper prosthetics, until now.

Due to the new technology 3D printing, engineers are able to construct and "print" their own prosthetics at a fraction of the cost.
