In the game of shipping personal packages, there are really only two major players: UPS and FedEx. I've had a lot of experience with both, and I've got to say — I'd give the title to FedEx any day. In my time dealing with them, it seems that FedEx drivers are always willing to go the extra mile to make the delivery. UPS, on the other hand, would prefer to deliver "we missed you" slips than actually drop off packages. I only say all of this to justify my assumption that this FedEx driver's potentially fatal mistake arose out of his exceedingly high desire to do his job well.
