There was a time when the idea of kids playing in a nearby watering hole conjured up an image of a natural lake or pond. Today, those spots where kids and teens can play are harder to come by. Between tourists, motor boats and pollution, finding a place for simple summer fun just isn't as easy as it used to be. So, even though there are many reasons we can shake a finger at these teens for playing in a reservoir, I can also understand the appeal.

It should be pointed out that this particular reservoir does not supply drinking water, but water exclusively for agricultural irrigation. All the water is filtered and treated before it gets to the farmers. It has also since been fenced off, keeping future slip-and -sliders away.

Once I was able to get past the idea of where they were swimming, I have to admit, it looked like a lot of fun. What do you think? Would you have played here as a teen?
