11-year-old son Tyler Martin recently lost his father, Richard Martin, in the line of duty during a high-speed chase. However, despite his unimaginable loss, this Little League starting pitcher had a baseball game to play and the Houston Police Department made sure to come out in full force to pay proper tribute to his father. Not only was there a sea of blue in the stands for Tyler's first game back on the mound, but the HPD even landed a helicopter on the field to honor Officer Martin. Here at SF Globe, we're so glad the HPD organization lent their support to young Tyler during such a difficult time and imagine their mere presence gave him the strength to finish the game for his heroic father. We send our condolences to the entire Richard family during this tragic time.
