7 DIY projects to repurpose your empty glass bottles
March 27, 2017
In a world full of plastic bottles and aluminum cans, a glass bottle is becoming somewhat of a rarity. Don't let them go to waste! We've gone out and found 7 great ideas.
Check out the following beautiful ways to repurpose them! You may be surprised!
1. Make a bottle lamp
Nothing makes the hues and shadows of a glass bottle pop more than a nearby light source. According to Instructables.com, the most delicate part of this process will be drilling a hole to insert the plug into the bottle, so make sure to use caution!
2. Glass bottle picture frame
When you're tired of looking at photos solely on your Smartphone, put them in an unique storage device with the help of a hot glue gun and a long-handled paintbrush. Get creative with thematic additions, as suggested by the DIY Network, such as shells for a photo at the beach.
3. Wall décor
Plenty of bottles could pass for works of art, why not help them? With wood pieces for mounts and some artfully placed flowers, make your old bottles blossom. Blogger Shanty Chic suggests the local hardware store for fasteners.
4. Wine Bottle bird feeder
The bottle provided you with something nice to drink, why not giving your feathered friends a treat as well? The Garden-Roof Coop actually shows how copper wire can replace a hole.
5. Turn the bottles into flower vases
Simple yet original, it can be as easy as "just adding water", but why stop there? Decorate your new vases with ribbon or paint to make them shimmer and shine.
6. Wine bottles candle lamps
Perfect for romantic evenings, quiet dinners, or interior design for a restaurant of your own, they are easy to make and keep.
7. Bottle gardens
Bottles can be planted, hung, suspended or merely placed in areas of sunlight, filled with seeds and soil, and put to work as planters.
