Medical experts urged 90-year-old Norma to explore treatment options after a potentially cancerous mass was discovered on her uterus, but she had other plans. "I'm hitting the road," she told her doctor. After all, Norma had just lost her husband of 67 and wasn't keen on spending the time she had left shuffling to and fro the hospital.

Norma's children explained to the doctors her decision to forgo treatment, and they were surprisingly supportive. "You are doing exactly what I would want to do in this situation," he told the family, "Have a fantastic trip!” So Norma and her two children piled into an RV and didn't look back.

The Facebook page Driving Miss Nora shares updates of the 90-year-old's travels with anyone who's interested. Among the many places she's visited, one of the most notable destinations was the Kennedy Space Center. "Miss Norma has always wanted to go to the moon," her children explained.

According to the Good News Network, Norma's been on the road for some six months now. She's been to the beach, tried her first mimosa, watched fireworks in Florida, and much, much more.

In addition to her dream of visiting the moon, Norma had also always dreamed about riding in a hot air balloon. In January, the 90-year-old did just that, floating above the people of Kissimmee, Fla.

Norma's cross-country journey continues on as the 90-year-old takes each day as it comes.
