Shortly after the crash occurred, a man in blue scrubs appeared on the scene. He stayed with Shaw and her children as they were looked after. The young mother told Kens5 that without the mysterious doctor she wouldn't be here today. Shaw's children were okay following the accident, but she's now in a wheelchair.

Shaw was incredibly thankful for the doctor who stopped to help, but she was never able to get his name. Now, several months after the fact and several surgeries later, she reached out to Kens5 in hopes of  tracking him down. The mystery doctor was later identified as Doctor Allan Mahood. He was on his way home from work when he saw the SUV flip.

"It was like a tornado backwards," he recounted to the news outlet, "The doors were all open, stuff was flying out."

Shaw will never forget what Mahood did for her and her children. While life has been difficult following the accident, she knows it could have been much worse. "If it weren't for him, I would've lost my life and my kids would've lost their mother," she said.

Mahood was touched by her gratitude and said that he always stops at accidents. The doctor plans to meet with Shaw and her children in the near future.
