Beau Dermott was just 11 years old when she appeared on "Teen Star," but her semi-final performance of a difficult number from "Les Miserables" is as strong as that of any professional adult singer. The video of "I Dreamed a Dream" shows the calm, quiet girl coming alive when she sings, punctuating her vocals voice with expansive gestures and emotional facial expressions.

Dermott has always had a powerful voice. "She had the most enormous scream," her mother Karen told Daily Mail, describing her daughter as a baby. "Maybe that's where it came from." The first real clue that their daughter was gifted came when Dermott's parents caught her singing songs from "The Sound of Music" at age three, singing "The Hills are Alive" at "full pelt."

"I Dreamed a Dream" earned Dermott fifth place in "Teen Star." Now 12, Dermott is currently a contestant on "Britain's Got Talent," where her impressive audition with a number from "Wicked" earned her a Golden Buzzer -- a pass straight to the semi-finals of the show.
