Puppeteer Anne Klinge keeps the 'BGT' judges on their toes with unusual act
While it would be accurate to say that Anne Klinge's performance on "Britain's Got Talent" swept the judges off their feet, it's even more accurate to say that it was Klinge's feet that did the sweeping. After introducing herself, the German native put on a puppet show like none the judges had ever seen before.
When the black curtain drops to reveal one of Klinge's legs dressed as a man, the gasp from the audience is loud, followed by Alesha Dixon's loud, "Ohhh... no!" When Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing" begins to play and the foot-faced puppet flirts with the show's offstage hosts, no one is quite sure what is going to happen next.
It turns out that Klinge's "foot theater" tells a hilarious love story set to music, keeping the judges and audience on their toes from start to finish. When the puppets take their bow, the audience uses its own feet to stand and cheer. The short musical is just one act in Klinge's extensive repertoire, which includes operas and children's shows.
