Wardrobe malfunctions happen to the best of us; usually, we try to fix the problem and carry on without calling attention to ourselves. But one busy Indiana couple found so much laughter in their situation that they shared it with the world, unintentionally creating a large community of people sharing like stories for a smile.

Brooke Hawley-Basso had to depart early one morning, leaving her husband Jeremy to get both of their children ready for the day. Later, when she went to pick up 7-month-old Olivia from daycare, she laughed to see the baby dressed in overalls with nothing underneath. Hawley-Basso snapped a photo and sent it to her husband, good-naturedly advising him that overalls should be worn over a shirt. Jeremy responded, "Uhm... I gotta plead ignorance here."

They shared a chuckle over the fashion fail -- as did the folks at the daycare -- and then a friend suggested that Hawley-Basso post the text message conversation on Ellen DeGeneres' Facebook page. She did, and it instantly went viral, generating thousands of comments from people sharing similar stories -- sometimes from the kid in question. Shay Hall posted a photo of herself as a tot in shirtless overalls, writing, "I say the same thing every time I see this picture of me... 'Why didn't I have a shirt on?!'"

Brooke and Jeremy Hawley-Basso don't seem to mind that their overall oversight is an internet sensation, and are enjoying the conversation it has sparked. "We are just shocked at the volume of response we've received," Brooke told BuzzFeed. "It's amazing."
