With the release of her music video "Try," Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat aimed to send a message about beauty, body image, and self-acceptance. Caillat's ballad was about learning to be happy with oneself and not trying to be someone you're not. It's a simple enough message, but one that's worth repeating. We live in a society where pop-culture magazines dictate the way we eat, dress, and act - but that's not necessarily healthy.

In "Try," a number of women are featured in the video. Initially, the women are in full hair and makeup but as the song progresses they begin to wipe off their makeup and let their hair down. They no longer hide their insecurities or flaws. The critically acclaimed ballad preaches self-acceptance; fans were touched by its message.
