Since spring of 2011, Syria has been engulfed in an ongoing civil war. In the midst of this turmoil, one magical moment occurred when Khaled Farah, a volunteer rescue worker, and his team managed to save a two-week-old baby boy. The Ansari neighborhood where the baby's family lived had fallen under a barrel bomb attack. After many hours of digging, Farah was able to extract the baby from the rubble.

Despite the dangers involved, the heroic volunteer Khaled Farah spends his time saving lives in Syria. As he says in the video, they are busy every day: "We don't have time [to visit the baby]. The shelling doesn't stop."

This miraculous tale definitely inspired us at SF Globe to take a fresh look at our lives to see where we, too, could make a small difference. Please share if you think this story is as inspirational as we did.
