If you're a dog owner, then you know that training your dog can be a difficult task. While they may be renowned for their obedience, they can still be a handful for even the most patient owner. An interesting dilemma arises though when it comes to the topic of breed. While it's commonly thought that certain types of dogs are more trainable than others, it might not always be the case.

According to Mychelle Blake, professional dog trainer and chief executive officer of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, while a smaller dog may feel more intimidated due to their stature, any sort of misbehavior really falls on the owner. Regardless of size or breed, the owner can really make the difference.

A good owner can connect with their dog regardless of size or breed. That being said though, a small dog can still feel intimidated by an owner towering over them. If that's the case for you and your dog then about.com suggests easing your dog into training by bringing them to your level, "You can do this by getting down on the ground with your small dog, or bringing him up to your level by putting him on a table or step."

This owner though, took what would be a few relatively small cans and turned them into a seemingly impenetrable wall. The results were pretty funny. Though we don't necessarily suggest you try this for your dog, it is still interesting that he felt trapped by a few harmless cans.
