Jack Storms is a cold glass sculptor. While most artists that work with glass manipulate it while it is hot, he works with glass just how it is. He's always had a talent for art and decided to pursue a career in it. With a lot of hard work, he was able to get a job at a place that works with optic sculptures. His work has blossomed from there.

It can take up to 24 weeks for him to finish just one piece, and it only takes one glance at his work for it to all make sense. Just looking at his glass sculptures is hypnotizing. The way the light sparkles off of all the pieces that make up his art is just magnificent. I have never seen glasswork like this and I can't even imagine how much love and dedication goes into each piece. Though you might not notice it at first, Jack actually uses the Fibonacci sequence/ratio to inspire his art. He loves how it shows up naturally in everything around you, and he uses it as a bridge to make his straight lines look more natural.

I thought this was my first time ever seeing his work, but I was wrong. The reason I was wrong was because I saw the Guardians of the Galaxy movie and his art actually appears in that movie. You can see a large Tear Drop piece and Large Full Core Cube in the Broker scene (the tear drop is behind the Broker and the cube is in a case in the showroom part of the store). If you missed them the first time, make sure to keep your eyes open the next time you watch. Pretty fascinating.
