In September of 2005, every traveler's worst nightmare came true as JetBlue Flight 292 attempted to land at John F. Kennedy Airport. The lives of 140 passengers and crew members were at risk when the front landing gear of the plane failed to properly unload from the body of the airplane.

Nobody knew exactly what would happen with the plane touched down on the runway. Luckily, the incredible training of the pilot led all of the passengers safely to the ground in a dramatic fiery landing. Amazingly, after the plane landed it was repaired and returned to service!
