Out came one, and before she knew it, another one popped out, too! Yup, you heard that right — this mama horse was packing twins. As special as twins can be in many other species, it's particularly rare for a mother horse to successfully birth two healthy twins. Minnesota Public Radio has the figure at lower than 1%, in regard to the chances of both foals making it through alive.
