The Voice Kids is a singing talent competition only for youths. In Germany, the show features children aged 8 - 14. While there are many talented young vocalists, it's not surprising that most of the contestants aren't as seasoned or well trained as the adults you may be used to seeing on The Voice. But when 13-Year-Old Solomia starts singing "Time To Say Goodbye," judge Lena Meyer-Landrut couldn't hold back her tears. After the audition, Lena confesses that the song was often played by her mother. It holds a lot of emotional meaning for her, and hearing such a beautiful performance of it was overwhelming.

Unfortunately, despite her strong performance at the audition, Solomia was eliminated during a battle round. She was pitted against two other contestants to sing "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. Although she delivered her vocals superbly, the voting audience preferred a rock n' roll sound over the classical tones of Solomia. Her fans, however, still claim the loss was a great injustice. They cling to the hope that her appearance on the show will have triggered support from a music producer to independently release more of Solomia's singing to an eagerly waiting fan base.
