Surrogate mom refuses biological parents' demand to abort one of their triplets
December 29, 2017
A 26-year-old surrogate mom is being told to abort one of the babies she is carrying. The New York Post reports that 26-year-old Brittneyrose Torres from Thousand Oaks, Calif., is acting as a surrogate mom under a $30,000 contract with the couple. Advertisement
At first, the biological parents seemed pleased with the triplets, but at 13 weeks, they had a change of plans.
They told Torres to abort the girl due to "increased medical risks for developmental disabilities."
Torres checked with her doctor who informed her that everything was fine and no medical reason existed for an abortion. The CBCN describes itself as a place that "addresses bioethical issues that most profoundly affect our humanity, especially issues that arise in the lives of the most vulnerable among us." The center is headquartered in Pleasant Hill, Calif., and deals with everything from suicide to surrogacy to euthanasia.
