Barbra Streisand offered a touching message via Instagram to grieving friend Céline Dion after the loss of Dion's husband. René Angélil, Dion's husband of 21 years and her longtime manager, died Jan. 14, 2016, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Dear @CelineDion - Every time you look at your children’s faces, you will see René. With love and strength - B

"Dear @CelineDion -- Every time you look at your children's faces, you will see René. With love and strength -- B," the legendary musician wrote.
Streisand posted her inspiring message along with a photo of the two singers as Dion  prepared for Angélil's national funeral service at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.

More than a colleague and duet partner, Dion openly noted Streisand as a source of her inspiration. A video about the making of the two singers' duet "Tell Him" captures how much Dion looks up to Streisand.

"When I met David (Foster, songwriter), I knew he knew you," the then 29-year-old Dion says to Streisand. "I told him that you were my idol. You're the person I've been looking up to all my life."

The two singers' "Tell Him" duet was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 1998.
