Rebecca was going for a casual jog around the reservoir when something in the water caught her eye. What did the young woman see? A stroller slowly sliding down the embankment before falling into the water. "I noticed that the women had their backs turned and the stroller was moving towards the reservoir," she explained to WCVB Channel 5 Boston. Rebecca, who chose not to disclose her last name, was a former lifeguard and thus was well prepared for a situation like this.

The babies were face down, so Rebecca immediately leapt into the river and grabbed hold of the stroller. She told the news outlet that the stroller was waterlogged and so she had difficulties lifting it out of the water. But the former lifeguard was able to drag the stroller back near the embankment where bystanders had gathered and were able to assist. Fortunately, the two babies were okay.

"It's just unbelievable," a local police officer remarked.

Interestingly enough, Rebecca was only in Boston for a day. She was headed to New York the following day. Now, she's got a pretty remarkable story to bring with her.
